Buffy sighed, looking through Angel's closet as he sat on his bed watching her. She had rummaged through most of his clothes in his drawers and was already halfway through his closet.

"Black," she said as she pushed the shirt aside. "Black," pushing the pants aside. "Black," pushing another shirt aside. "Dark dark dark dark maroon." She turned to look at him, closing the door to the closet. "Do you even own a pair of clothes that isn't dark?!"

"What's wrong with the color black?" Angel asked her, leaning back on the bed, putting his arms underneath his head to support it.

"Black? It tends to be... well.. black..." Buffy said. Not exactly the greatest answer to that question.

Angel smiled as Buffy walked over to the bed and kneeled on it beside him. She looked down to see his face and gave him a quick kiss on the lips as she stroked his chest. Angel picked up his arms and wrapped them around her led away slightly and whispered in his ear, "Guess what baby?"

Angel's eyes twinkled with delight. "Hmm?"

Buffy smiled wickedly and laughed. "We're going shopping!"

*Where's a stake? Kill.. me.. now..* Angel thought.

***************************

"I can't believe I'm letting you do this to me," Angel said smiling, being dragged, literally, into the clothing store.

"Me either!" Buffy said with a smile. "You have to enjoy the pleasures of shopping, Mr. Talk, Dark and Handsome.. Ooo! Sale!" Buffy dragged Angel along by his jacket sleeve. He felt like a child's parents, getting pulled along by their son or daughter in a toy store full of everything they could ever possibly want.

"Promise rings for the lovely couple?" the jewelry lady behind the counter said as they walked past. Buffy look at the rings, hoping maybe to buy them but her eyes widened at the price.

"Angel, honey, why don't you go look at some clothes," Buffy said, smiling, hinting at him to leave. He wondered what she was doing, but he started to walk, heading towards the Men's Section. Buffy leaned on the jewelry counter a bit to talk to the saleslady.

"I'll get back to you later on some rings, ok?" Buffy whispered and the saleslady smiled and nodded as she walked away.

Buffy walked as quietly as she could behind Angel, who was looking at a pair of pants. She quickly put her hands over his eyes and giggled. "Guess who?" she asked.

"That wonderful and beautiful Slayer I love so dearly?"

She took her hands away, and smiled as she kissed him. "Good answer," she said between kisses. "I would have had to stake you if you gave me the wrong answer."

Angel smiled and pulled away, his arms around her waist. He looked around the section quickly and decided nothing here was all that interesting. "Oh, look, nothing here, let's go!" he said dragging Buffy a bit away from the clothes rack in front of her.

She turned around, grabbing him by the shoulders and pulled him as hard as she could. "You said yourself that you would go with me shopping. I know you hate it.. but please?" she said, then did her best impression of a 5 year about to cry with her doe-like eyes. She knew Angel couldn't resist.

After a few seconds of fighting with himself Angel gave up and let her drag him around. "Now, I know you don't want bright stuff, but I know we're also not getting dark stuff either, so.." she said, picking up a pair of khaki pants and handed it to him. "Hold this."

Angel took it from her hands, as she started to pile up stuff in his arms. A white shirt, a brown shirt, a black shirt, a pair of gray slacks. He wasn't sure how he'd pay for this, but right now that wasn't the biggest thought on his mind. And even the thought of sneaking out of the store wasn't in question, seeing as the only exit was at the front and Buffy would surely see him leave.

Buffy pushed a blond strand of hair out of her face as she pushed Angel to the dressing room. "Go try 'em on and let me see you.. since you can't exactly see yourself in the mirror," she said as he walked into the room.

He smiled slightly, sighing. "Why did I even get myself into this?" he said to himself.

"I heard that!!" the blond Slayer called out from the other side of the door.

Quickly he slipped on the khaki pants and the black shirt, putting the pile of his black clothes in the corner. He opened the door and Buffy smiled. "You look cute! No wait, scratch that, you always look cute.. make that cute-ER!"

The vampire shook his head, grinning. "Is that it?"

"The shirts are all the same size and it looks pretty fitting on you. Try on the gray pants though."

Angel closed the door again, then looked into the mirror, only seeing an empty room and a pile of clothes in the corner. Not changing his shirt, he put on the gray pants and opened the door.

Buffy nodded, her arms crossed against her chest. "How do they fit?"

"Snug," he said, flattening out the pleats.

"Okay, that's it.. well that is, if you want to shop more.." Buffy said, smiling.

"No!! I mean, uh.. no, I think that's enough clothes for me," he said as he closed the door and slipped back on his regular clothes and began tying his shoes.

Buffy looked across the walkway and saw a black leather tank top on a stand by the teen girl's section. On it it said "Vampires Suck". Buffy smiled, running over quickly to pick it up and put it behind her back, concealing it as much as she could.

Angel walked out of the dressing room with the clothes draped over his arm. He saw Buffy grinning and he looked suspiciously at the thing behind her back. "What's that?" he asked, trying to peek behind her.

"Ya think I can get it?" she said, pulling it out and showing it to him. Angel looked at what it said and growled low in his throat.

"Vampires suck, eh?" he said moving closer to her. "Then do Slayers swallow?" he said, grinning evilly.

"That's for a certain someone to figure out later," she said, poking him playfully. She put the tank top on the top of his clothes and they began to walk towards the cashiers. "Here," she said, giving him some money. "This'll pay for your clothes and my tank top."

"Buffy, you don't have to do that. I have money--" he said, but got cut off by her finger being put up to his lips to shush him.

"Don't worry. Use my money.. um, I'll meet you in front. I have to go use the bathroom, okay?" she said, getting on tiptoes to kiss his forehead. "Be back.."

Angel walked over to the counter and began to pay for the clothes as Buffy wandered out of sight. She walked back over to the jewelry counter. "Hi. I'm here to pick up two rings."

"Name please?" the lady asked.

"Buffy Summers."

The jewelry lady looked around behind the counter, pushing some stuff out of the way. "Oh! Here we are!" she said, picking up a small dark maroon velvet jewelry case, a tab with Buffy's name sticking out of it. She pulled the tab off and opened the case and showed it to Buffy. Inside were two plain, but beautiful silver rings.

"They're beautiful.." Buffy said as she took the case and slipped one onto her finger, then closed it up. "Thank you," she said as she walked away quickly and saw Angel through the glass doors. She walked up beside him, her hand tightly clasping the small case.

"Welcome back," he said and kissed her and noticed her hand holding something. "Now what do you have?"

"Just a little.. gift," she replied, smiling and opened it up, taking out the ring and put it in his hand. "You give me a Claddagh ring and I give you.. well a ring, but check the engraving!" she said excitedly.

Angel looked inside the ring seeing the words "Buffy and Angel Forever" written around in it. He smiled as he read it. She picked up her hand and showed him her ring also. "I have one myself. Says the same exact thing. It'll be so I'll always remember you.."

Angel put the ring on his finger and took Buffy's hand, kissing her new ring gently. "I love you, and I always will." She picked up his hand and wrote gently on his palm with her fingernail, "Buffy Luvs Angel".

Buffy smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck. Angel looked down at her and grinned, "Now.. what were you saying about a certain someone figuring something out later?"

The End
